Copies

Would you like a photocopy or digital photograph of any item from our Manuscript Archive or Library - Yes! then please see below for further details.

Photocopies of many original documents and published items may be available on request. However, please note that for a variety of reasons some of these will be unsuitable for copying purposes. Many documents and some published material may either be too fragile, or too large, for normal photocopying techniques, and may require specialist handling.

Transcripts of manuscript material, either full or partial, may also be available. Please note, however, that a large percentage of our manuscript archive has so far not been transcribed. Our archive also contains a number of documents written in archaic hand-writing, which most people will find either extremely difficult or impossible to read. If you wish to have any of these items accurately typed out, we may be able to arrange this for you.

Digital Images of many items in our collection will be available on request. However, it is worth noting the following points:-

It may not be practical to photograph certain examples due to problems relating to copyright or to overall size.  

Your digital images will be posted to you as hard copy or on CD as appropriate. 

Normally we will not transmit digital images over the Internet, unless we are certain that it is in our interest to do so. If you require this service, please note that we will only attempt this procedure under very strict operating conditions.

Prices

We are happy to quote you a complete price for any items you may wish to have copied. This price will include all post and packaging charges, as well as giving you approximate delivery dates.
