I am trying to find out info regarding my relatives George Wilkie born in 1821 and was employed as a mason in Bayview Terrace Leven and his father another George who was a farmer in Durie near Leven. Both are related to Sir David Wilkie who came from Pitlessie

Webmaster comments   Information about Sir David Wilkie, R.A. available from many different printed sources, one example being The Book of Eminent Scotsmen, edited by Joseph Irving and published in Paisley in 1881. Also worth trying the Scotland's People website which you can access on our Links Page.
